Spider veins and reticular veins

Spider veins are tiny vessels near the skin. Reticular veins are slightly deeper blue or green veins. FCCI clears both with sclerotherapy.

What they are

Spider veins are blood vessels that collect close to the surface of the skin and give it a webbed look. Reticular veins are similar to varicose veins but smaller and deeper. They often look blue or green and can feed spider veins.

For most people they are a cosmetic worry, but they can sit alongside deeper vein problems, so FCCI looks at the whole leg.

Sclerotherapy

FCCI eliminates the look of spider veins through chemical ablation, called sclerotherapy. A small amount of medicine closes the vein so it fades. Reticular veins are treated with minimally invasive options such as sclerotherapy too.

Your doctor will tell you how many sessions you may need and what care to follow after.

Paying for cosmetic care

Treatment done only for looks is often treated differently by insurance. Call 904.493.3333 before you book and ask about your plan and FCCI's self-pay fee schedule.
